Purley 2.0 – #Purley Twestival – A THANK YOU

Croydon Twestival has finished and thanks to the efforts of everyone who attended we have raised £380!!

Whilst that figure might not seem huge (next year we’re gonna try get into the £1,000s ha ha!), it is an invaluable addition to the funds needed to keep South East Cancer Help Centre working to serve those with cancer in the community.

It costs approximately £40 a year for one person to use the services of SECHC and because of YOUR involvement in Twestival, NINE people in Croydon will be able to receive counselling and therapy – and the work of the centre can continue.

Whilst James and I want to thank EVERY ONE for their involvement, there are some people who deserve an extra special mention:

@WendyAnnAger (Get Better Coaching) – Wendy works tirelessly – online and offline – to promote and facilitate worthy events in our local community. Not only does she want to see the best for Purley and surrounding areas, but she also helps people reach their full potential through her company Get Better Coaching. If you want motivation or structure for your business or to see personal improvement in your lifeget in contact with Wendy.

Mark Cooper oversaw the raffle and made the speech of the night

@markcooperxyz – Mark is a local financial advisor who has a great heart for Purley  and his rousing speech on the night showed why he is recognised as a “pillar of the community”. Mark provides help with retirement planning or investment advice so if you need help in this area, please visit Clarity Financial Planning.

@perry_suckling, @wicksey and Purley Business Association hero @neilspellings – Many thanks to these fine gentlemen who sacrificed the chance to socialise and instead volunteered to help collect cash and regulate the raffle throughout the night. LEGENDS. N.B. If you’re interested in buying wine, @perry_suckling is a local supplier who will be able to sort you out.

Mike Goodlet of the band ‘Emphasize’ and @heyZelda from Hey Zelda for providing uswith an awesome musical backdrop and soundtrack for the night. We have some real musical talent in Purley – SUPPORT IT.

@randallmurrowRandy is an experienced videographer and wedding photographer whose flattering shoots are a great way to remember significant events (such as the Croydon Twestival – see below). He provides a high-quality and professional service and is also an incredibly warm-hearted man. If you would like to have a photoshoot or need a flattering promotional film for your business, contact Randy pronto 🙂

1 Response to Purley 2.0 – #Purley Twestival – A THANK YOU

  1. Wendy Ager says:

    Hi Jonny,

Thanks for the kind words Jonny, but it was all down to you and James in the end.

All credit to you for taking the initiative and organising the first Croydon Twestival. I think you should be VERY happy with both the turn-out and amount raised for South Easts Cancer Help Centre (SECHC). It was a really lovely relaxed evening and I met and connected some more great people from the area.

There is definitely a real buzz beginning to grow out of your Purley 2.0 project.

I look forward to seeing you to work on making the Purley Festival as great very soon!
