Purley 2.0 – Have your views heard by Croydon council

If you have been following the Purley 2.0 Project, you’ll know that getting locals to use social media has many different benefits.

In this video, ex-Civil Service chap Will Perrins talks about the importance of councils listening and getting involved with local residents who use social media (i.e. Twitter, Facebook etc):

Fantastically, Croydon Council is already one of the more progressive councils when it comes to using social media to listen to the concerns of the local community. Here is one such example of them using Twitter to help a local resident:

The council are trying more and more to listen and engage with locals. Twitter is a great medium for you (the resident) to join the conversation and have your views about #purley or #croydon heard by local government.

No longer can you complain about the council not caring about you – GET HEARD, GET TWEETING! 😛
