Worshipping at the altar of iPulpit

I know that for many their love of Apple products can take almost Biblical proportions, but this is ridiculous…

These nifty little podiums are made by the good people at Little Mountain productions who build lots of cool little stuff for churches including these very svelte pulpits that are specifically geared towards pastors that use iPads.

At first, I was a bit scornful at seeing the cult of Apple so brazenly making in-roads into the hallowed sanctum of the Church. But having had a rethink, maybe churches could benefit from the ‘Apple effect’.

For a start, altar-calls would be much more successful…

And certainly the scenes depicted on stained glass would be a lot more relevant to modern congregations…

Even if you broke the glass, Apple's excellent product support would fix it immediately...five months later

The design patent for Little Mountain’s iPodium is still pending at time of writing, but I look forward to seeing these being rolled out at uber-hip churches across the land some time soon!

That said, don’t forget what happened last time Apple tried to get involved with Judaeo-Christian worship…

Just sayin’.

you laugh, but i know a pastor who uses an ipad to great success. is the “ridiculous”ness of the product merely the fact that you dislike apple products? or do you think that church shouldnt use technology, or be in touch with the way that society increasingly works??

I’m just a massive Apple hater. Mostly because their mouse don’t right click.

Seriously, that’s the reason why I continually badmouth them…no right click.

Also, it’s really hard to find the # key on their keyboards.

Also, I don’t like the red, yellow, green toolbar system.

I do actually like the podiums though. They are very cool! 🙂
