I Blog on A Sunday

Why do I love blogging?

I really enjoy blogging and here a just a few reasons why!

First off, I enjoyed making YouTube videos that allowed my creative, slightly artistic side to come out and just uploaded them for fun. They simply sat there on the site with nothing attached to them. This got me thinking- I need to somehow connect them up to people that may want to watch them. I tried posting them as a response video to a popular one but it didn’t attract the right kinds of people. I’d always wanted a website but had no idea how to go about setting on up.

Fast forward a few months ago and now I have a website, with the support of some lovely people I was now able to share my creations with others! Blogging for me is a way of sharing things I find interesting and to show off stuff I have made. I’m not a constant blogger that dedicates a set number of hours to each day. It just happens when I have inspiration or time!

As a Christian I guess I thought having a website to blog about the gospel would be a really good thing and a few posts have shown how I had to rely on God during the great job search of last summer. I’ve also attended a few Christian conferences such as Christian New Media conference and Social Media for Social Change. I was enabled to make some videos at these events that I then edited and put up online!

I would encourage anyone to have a go at blogging as its fun, easy and allows your message to get out there. Don’t be put off that you won’t understand how to work it, take a step of faith!

Finally, my website has now enabled not only interaction with YouTube but with Twitter and Facebook. I think that using all of these together will effectively help you get the most out of it.

Yep, I would agree with this completely. You could spend months reading all these “top ten tips on how to blog” posts or you could just get out there and do it. It’s not a big mystery, just open a blog and type. You can create your top ten tips for yourself as you go along, you don’t have to do what anyone else says, have fait in yourself and give it a go.

    Great post :)

Thanks very much for the nice comment! Yeah I just feel that its within anyone’s reach to get blogging! Totally agree with your point, Jenny. Rather than sitting around reading about Top Tips, go out and make your own! Love it! :) And also love your blog! I just looked at my feet like it said to do! :P Keep blogging!
